How to uninstall Yahoo Community smartbar?

I cannot uninstall smart bar that installed itself with Yahoo while I was downloading Google Chrome. I have Windows 8. Went to Control Panel and used uninstall function but it did not budge. Any help?

If the SmartBar is attached to Chrome, use the following instructions to remove it:

Google Chrome and other Chromium-based browsers: type chrome://extensions in the address bar. Press the thrash can icon next to the intended toolbar.

Alternatively, perform a run with AdwCleaner and select the SmartBar from the Google Chrome section.
