Does anybody have a Windows 7 driver for the Sharp AM-400 MFD or know of some workaround? Sharp say that the unit is old and they will not support it under Windows 7. A pity as the unit still works well on OS up to XP.

After a basic search for drivers I can confirm that the product does not have drivers released for Windows 7. However, you can try installing the the software and drivers using the package from Sharp website but make sure to apply a compatibility setting before starting the installation. Use Windows XP Service Pack 3 as compatibility setting and then run it.

Once the operation completes, go to Device Manager and manually update the driver pointing the installer to the installation folder in Program Files. If anything goes well, Windows should install the driver even if it's not developed for Windows 7.
