My 4GB Kingston flash drive appears to have 0/0 bytes. Also, I can't format it. Now, I receive an error telling me that there is no disk in the drive. I right-clicked the Computer icon and I clicked the Disk Management option, but it still shows me that there is no media in the drive. After that, I opened CMD from the Start menu, but I receive the same message. What can I do?

In order to fix the issue, press Windows + R key combination, type devmgmt.msc and click OK. Expand the Universal Serial Bus controllers list, right click on the driver and select Uninstall. Reboot your computer, connect the flash drive and press Scan for hardware changes icon from Device Manager. After that, run USB Drive AntiVirus or USB Disk Security to clean your flash drive of viruses and malware and try formatting it. If it doesn't work, go to Start, type cmd and open the utility using Administrator rights. Type format /q /x G: and press the Enter key. Make sure you replace the G symbol with your flash drive letter.
