Android renaming Avare map files.

For the second time in 4 months upon opening my Avare software the maps would not display. The program seemed to be working fine, but the maps were not displayed under the information grid. Downloading a file manager app and I was able to find the map files which had apparently been renamed by the Android system. Avare could not find the files. Working with a "customer service" tech at a store we were able to stumble along and get everything working again. Since this is the second time this has happened and near an Android system update I'm guessing it will happen again. I don't want to be on a flight someplace and find I don't have my Avare to assist.

Since there is no exact information related to this query, I advise moving the files to your SDcard. There seems to be a problem with the files and write operations in KitKat and because of that no application can manage the files on Android phones.

Install the application, then move it to the SDcard. Tap on app until the App Info appears. After the app has been moved to the SDcard, move the files in a custom folder and that's it.
