Windows Live Movie Maker doesn't recognize the FLV file extension. This is the reason why you can't play your file. In order to fix this issue, you can download and install K-Lite Codec Pack. This package contains a series of codecs and filters that your computer needs to properly read and play some file formats like the FLV one. After you did this, you should be able to work with most of the video file formats.
