Does this program convert JPG&Maxh files to simple JPG files? If not, what program will?

No, the program doesn't supports JPG&Maxh files. It can work only with BMP, GIF, ICO, WMF, PNG, TIF and TIFF files:

Also, there isn't a program specially designed to convert JPG&Maxh files to simple JPG files, but I suggest you try some universal photo converters from Software Informer database.
