On a computer, if an application is using the Internet then it will appear in the connection list. Even Windows connects to websites to get updates, time sync, etc. Once you open the browser, then you will also see connections established by the browser to other servers. The offline mode won't resolve this issue because even then the computer will attempt to connect to Internet to send and receive data. The other connections you see are probably established by other apps in your computer.
