Ralink RT3290 overheats and loses connection or doesn't detect wireless networks. How can I solve this?

In this case it's better that you don't try to solve the problem by yourself and contact a specialized service. The issue is probably caused by a hardware malfunction that can't be fixed by regular users. You could try to download and install the latest version of the driver available on the official website, but it won't help much.
