In order to navigate to the main menu, you need to click the Main Menu expression (). If it doesn't work, download and install the latest version of Fitbit Connect software from the official web page, connect the Fitbit device to your computer using the USB cable and try again to sync using the green Sync Now button. If it doesn't work, configure your Windows Firewall and security program to allow the connection and navigate to Start > Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Device Manager. Expand the Universal Serial Bus controllers list, right-click on the driver and select Uninstall. Reboot your computer, connect the device using its USB cable and press Scan for hardware changes icon from Device Manager. If it still doesn't work, I suggest you contact the developer.
