How do I stop all these Lhoot popups? I've tried restoring and uninstalling (it isn't on the list of programs).

I can't find any information on the web about this malicious program "Lhoot" that keeps creating popups and extra pages in my browsers. How do I get rid of it? It has infected Chrome and Firefox. I don't use Explorer so I don't know if that's infected as well. It's no use trying to uninstall it because it doesn't show up in the list of programs when I activate the uninstall function. Help!

Of course, one simple and effective way to get rid of such malicious software is to use a malware removal program, such as Malware Defender, which provides a comprehensive solution for protecting your system from such hazards. You may find further information on it at http://malware-defender.software.informer.com/2.0/

Another approach would be to contact the Lhoot direct line at (001) 425 279 1177. This might prove a bit tricky if you are not calling from within the US, because of the potentially increased telephone bill, but the service people will very patiently and comprehensively guide you through the process. You wil first be required to uninstall Real Time, and when you install it anew, Lhoot should be completely gone from your system.
