I cannot start a game unless I buy coins.

I have this app and played free online backgammon with real opponents. I just downloaded it, and now it seems to be requiring that I purchased coins before playing backgammon. I live in New Jersey. Is it because New Jersey now allows online gambling? I don't want to play for money, just for fun.

You can play for free only if you are using the online version at MyWin website. Visit the website and log-in and then you can play again, additionally, if you want to play on your Mac, real money need to be used, but simply switch to Play money (virtual coin) and start playing.
