How to fix my ZTE's touch screen?

My cousin has bought a ZTE phone but she locked it due to many false pattern tries. I know how to unlock it but the screen doesn't work. Nothing can be pushed except the ''R'' letter and the middle line of the numbers. How can I fix it?

The easiest and fastest way to fix the touch screen is by performing a factory reset operation. Turn off the phone then press Volume Up + POwer until the Android logo appears. Select Wipe data/Factory Reset and wait for the phone to boot. If after this operation the touch screen still doesn't work, you might need to get it back to the seller as it's faulty and needs replacing.
