There is no way to make the application work in Windows 8 because it has been discontinued and it's not available anymore. The application was not created to be compatible with Windows 8. If you still have the installation package, you can try a compatibility setting with Windows XP. This might work and in some cases, this is enough for the application to work correctly.

I'm in the same boat. Bible Illustrator 3 is, very simply, the best sermon illustration program ever. So I really want to keep using it.
I think the ONLY way to accomplish this is in a "virtual machine" -- essentially, a full version of Windows XP running within Windows 7 or 8.
The best free way to do this is VirtualBox: www.virtualbox.org. You'll need a legal copy of Win XP with product key to set this up.

only will run on windows 32 bit, most now are 64 bit but you CAN install a 32bit version of windows 10 even, which in theory would work.

I got it running on Linux in Wine, easy, but am struggling loading databases other than the all in one cards.
