Applications like these were created when Windows 95,96, NT and XP were primary operating systems available on the market. It's most likely that your CD is not compatible with Windows 8. In this case you can set a compatibility mode for the setup application on the CD, but I doubt it will work. Instead of launching the installer automatically, please browse the CD and manually perform installation using the setup package (not autorun!!!).
