Hard resetting Blu 5.0 phone.

When I do this to my 5.0 Blu a green screen comes on then switches to a pink screen that has a tiny (recovery) in the upper left corner. Then that screen goes away and the phone turns back on to the same state. What to do?

The correct combination to enter the actual Recovery menu is Volume Down + Power button. Press them until the Recovery with the options is listed. Once you are in the Recovery mode, use volume buttons to select Wipe Data/Factory Reset then reboot the phone and it should work normally. Additionally, if you have access to the phone in normal working conditions, go to Menu -> Privacy -> Factory Data Reset -> Reset phone.
