I have an application released on 2007. Will it work on a Windows 8 PC?

Try to install it but before doing this, set up compatibility to a prior version of the Windows OS. If it's from 2007, Windows XP is recommended. Right click the file then set Windows XP compatibility from Compatibility tab under Properties menu then run the application again.

If you have installed the application already the go to the folder where the application is installed and right click on the launcher and click on the troubleshoot compatibility option.
