It's possible that the problem is caused by the antivirus installed on your computer. If you have found out that the software is gone, then most likely the antivirus considered it was malware and deleted it. To avoid such problems in the future, I recommend adding the software to the Exclusion list. This way the antivirus will ignore its installation.
