My program does not work. Is it because I now have a new computer with Windows 8? Could this be the problem?

The application is known to work with Windows7/8 and Mac OSX.

"Compatible with Windows 8/7 and Mac OS X v10.2 - 10.8." - Canon

Browse to the official website and download the application from the Software section under Drivers & Software.
