Is Dell System Detect useful and when will it be available?

Is Dell System Detect useful and when will it be available? It doesn't seem to be downloadable currently. Is there something better (drivers to update, software needing to be updated etc.). I have a Dell Inspiron 17.

Dell System Detect is available for downloading but you can install it if you have a Dell product.

Click on detect Service Tag, it will automatically install Dell System Detect.
