MS Word keeps telling me a global template change has occured, even when no changes have occurred. Evidently, this is due to MSWorks (8.5) add-in for Word. How can I rectify this matter?

If you aren't using the following MS Works features: Works Task Launcher, Works Mail Merge functionality or Word to Works Converter, it is recommended to uninstall MS Works add-in from Control Panel. Also, if you press Start, Run and type Winword.exe /a in the command box, Ms Word will open without any add-in. By opening Word in this way, the error message shouldn't appear anymore. Disabling the add-in could also help. Go to the Word Startup folder and move MS Works add-in to a subfolder.

There's no 'Run' facility.
