When I try to update Java, it cancels the installation and says that there is a corrupt file in my system. What's wrong?

Redownload the package because it's very likely possible you have download something else other than Java. You can download Java from its official website. Alternatively, scan the computer with your favorite antivirus to make sure that there are no trojans or other malware installed in your computer. For a list of known antivirus solutions, you can check Software Informer's database.
