How can I play this game on my new computer?

Does this really work on a new computer? Like it did on the older ones? I've tried putting Zoo Tycoon on all our new laptops and it does not run well. Help me, please!

You can try to install and play this game using the Windows Compatibility mode. To do this, before you install the game, right click on the Setup.exe file, go to Properties > Compatibility and select Run under Windows XP, Run in 256 colors and Run in 640 x 480 screen resolution.
This game was tested on Windows 7 (x64) with these settings and it runs very well.
