The behavior that you encounter could be caused by some settings that you made to the product. In this matter, I can't tell you exactly what changes to make to fix this behavior. However, you can revert all the settings to the default state by going to Start > Control Panel > Programs and features > select the program, click the Uninstall button and select Repair. Also, this can be made by performing a fresh installation of the program. To be noticed that it's advised to keep all your programs up-to-date at all time.
