As you can see on the review page of the product, R for Windows is an integrated development environment released by The R Foundation for Statistical Computing that contains an integrated suite of software facilities for data manipulation, calculation and graphical display. In order to run a Windows 98 program in Windows 7, you can try the Compatibility Mode. Right click on the program icon and go to Properties > Compatibility tab. Check the Run this program in compatibility mode for box and select Windows 98 from the drop-down list. Click Apply and then OK.
