Lost links in Favorites Folder on Internet Explorer 8.

Question

When I click on Favorites in the Toolbar (or in Windows Explorer) all my links are missing. My folders and sub folders are all still there, but the actual links are all gone. Where did they go?

Those links are stored as URLs in the Favorites folder on your hard drive. If you have used a cleaning application, it is very possible that those links were deleted because they were considered junk. There is no way to get them back if you didn't performed a backup.
