Import a 2D Autocad file.

Can I import a 2D AutoCad file as a base to trace with the SketchUp tools? If so, how can this be done?

Due to the fact that SketchUP will remove any entities that don't have any 3D relevance, it's not advised to do so. However, the layers that hold those entities will not be removed. If you still want to continue in this process, to import Autocad files, you need to go to File > Import, select your file and press Import button.
