I cannot paste a drawing in a new layer drawing and hide it

I cannot paste a drawing into a new layer drawing and hide it. I can hide a new drawing I create on that layer, but I cannot hide a pasted item, even if I use the outline pen and change colors. Is this because it was created with a visible pen and not an outline pen?

Yes, this happens because the drawing was created with a visible pen instead of an outline pen. Even if you try to change the colors using the outline pen, you can't hide the drawing.
