I signed up for lifetime membership a few years ago, now I cannot get access to the site. What might be the problem?

I signed up for lifetime membership a few years ago, now I cannot get access to the site. What might be the problem?

The domain and its servces are no longer in the business. This means that the subscription has become useless since you cannot download or login on the website anymore. It happens from time to time because of the illegal files uploaded on these websites. However, there are other file sharing websites like Uploaded or RapidShare, or even MediaFire.
