Password protection of archives.

I resolve issues with the IT equipment in our office. Our office conists of 7 people and each of us has a PC. Recently, we had a rash of viruses and I had to rebuild several PCs in our office. It was a painful and time-consuming experience. To avoid future pain, I plan to make image backups of 7 PCs in our office, and store the backups on an external hard drive. The free version of Paragon seems to fit our needs quite well, but the people in our office have some privacy concerns with having their computer data stored on a portable hard drive. Is there a way to password protect the backup archives with Paragon Backup & Recovery Free Edition on a portable external hard drive? The documentation talks about password protecting files that reside on an FTP server, but I have not been able to find any information in the documentation, or on the software menus, about how to password protect files when they are backed-up to an external, portable hard drive. Can anyone tell me if it is possible to password protect the backups on an external hard drive?

The software supports password protecting, but the option becomes available only when you create a backup. Start the application, select the partition you want to backup and then access the Advanced Options. The options window gives you the possibility to configure compression levels, verification, password protection and many other settings.
