Problems while starting Skype.

I have been using Skype for about 7-8 years and today while chatting with a friend, my Skype stopped. I went to the Skype official site and I saw that there was maintenance. After the maintenance I couldn't start my skype.exe. I've tried to reinstall it, but nothing happened (I still couldn't open skype.exe). I asked my friends if they have the same problem after the maintenance, but they said that their Skype were running okay.

Skype has been updated and there are no such maintenance periods that the users may encounter. Try to update to latest version. In the moment of writing this, Skype was working fine and all the services are up. You can check for Skype status at the heartbeat page.
