Will this software work on a Linux OS?

Do .jpg files have to be converted into AVI files in order to play a slide-show on a DVD player? Also, if so, does your software have the ability to convert .jpg into AVI? Will this software work on a Linux OS?

Most DVD players can play slide-shows from jpg files without the need to convert them first.
