I downloaded Ashes Cricket demo 2009 from Codemasters website and when I launch it my computer runs slowly. When I start a Bat and Bowl game the screen goes black. After 1 minute, I received a message saying "Windows has been shut down to protect your computer due to an attempt to change your driver". The program has no virus and I have an Intel Core I3 computer with 3.06 GHz Processor, 2GB of RAM and Intel H55 Chipset. What can I do?

In order to run the game without problems, your computer need to meet the following system requirements:

  • OS: Windows XP or Vista;
  • Processor: 3 GHz Pentium 4 or AMD™ equivalent and above;
  • RAM Memory: 1.5GB;
  • Graphics card: GeForce 8800GS and above, or Radeon X1900 series and above;
  • Sound Card: Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi;
  • Free Hard Drive Space: 3 GB;
  • DirectX: 9.0c.

If all the requirements are fulfilled, update your Video Card drivers and install the latest version of DirectX. If it doesn't help, temporarily disable your antivirus, close all unnecessary programs using Task Manager and run the game using Administrator rights.
