How to reset the master password?

I accidentally encrypted an important file, but I don't remember setting any master password before. Is there a way to reset/retrieve the master password? Or any way to recover/decrypt my file without the password?

Master password is needed to be set up at the program's installation. If you didn't do it, then there's no way to recover the file. If the two elements that are able to restore the file to the initial condition (unencrypted) are not available then the whole content is lost. You cannot decrypt it.
