Sonic cannot find the update manager for Roxio.

I keep getting a persistent info box on my screen telling me that it cannot find the update manager. The problem is that this message freezes my computer up so that I cannot use it. I eventually manage to close the info box, but it reappears again several minutes later. How do I resolve this problem?
