Why is Microsoft Access not installed within the Microsoft Office? How can I get it?

Why is Microsoft Access not installed within the Microsoft Office? I need it and I thought it should be there with the others. How can I get it?

When you install Microsoft Office, not all features and programs are installed by default, but only some of them (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). In order to install Microsoft Access you need to click Custom in the installation menu, then you will be able to select what packages that are going to be installed.
