Question

I've installed the game and when I start it it goes through the start video, then crashes with a "Serious error occurred" but no details. Any suggestions?

Start the game once and navigate to the documents folder. You will see another folder created by the game. Open Notepad and paste the following data:

Save the file as options.ini then right click it and set its attributes to read-only. Once this process is finished, right click the executable file and set compatibility to Windows XP Service Pack 3.

Optionally, change the resolution in the file to one suited for you. Start the game and you can play normally.
