I'm trying to run Reuters News Suite Server 3.1 on a Windows XP PC. I have used the program before, but this is a newer computer. It installs just fine, but when I run the program, the icon flashes on the desktop and the program doesn't run. I thought it might be a firewall problem, so I disabled it. I uninstalled it, I deleted all related program files and I reinstalled it without success. I thought it might be a problem with the software, so I loaded it on another Windows XP PC with the same security program (Symantec) and it is working just fine even with the Firewall enabled. Can you help me?

Firstly, in order to fix the issue, perform a full system scan using your security program or a utility from Software Informer database. After that, remove the program from your PC and run CCleaner to make sure that there are no leftover registry keys in your system. Reboot your computer and install the software again. Once the process is complete, right-click on the launcher and select Run as Administrator. If it doesn't work, reboot the computer press the F8 key and try running the application in Safe Mode. If it works, a program from your PC is conflicting with Reuters News Suite Server. To determine the program that cause the issue, you will need to perform a clean boot. If this doesn't help, right-click the Reuters News Suite Server launcher, select Properties and open the Compatibility tab. Check the Disable desktop composition box, click Apply, OK and try to run the software. If none of these help, you will need to contact the developers.
