I can't use it on a Windows 2000 computer.

When trying to install HBOC Windows Emulator on a Windows 2000 machine, I receive the following error:

"NTVDM.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows. You will need to restart the program".

What can I do?

Unfortunately, you can't use the HBOC 32Bit Windows Emulator tool on your Windows 2000 computer because it is not compatible. For further information I suggest you check the article provided by Microsoft Support Team. It applies to Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional Edition and Microsoft Windows 2000 Server.
