In order to fix the issue, right-click on the Computer icon, select Manage and open Device Manager. Expand the Universal Serial Bus controllers, Disk drives and IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers and look for the card reader driver. Once you detect it, right-click on its icon and select Uninstall. After the process is complete, reboot your computer, connect the card reader and open again Device Manager. Next, click the Action menu and press the Scan for hardware changes option. Windows will automatically find and install the card reader drivers.
