I can't download the Sokkia job files to my PC or to my laptop.

Question

I have used Sokkia Total Station 520 Series 2 years, without having problems to download the job files or to operate the device. Now, I can't download the files to my PC or to my laptop. I have changed the cable with a new one without success. Before I used RGS To Serial Converter but now I use USB To Serial Converter. I compared the baud rates at PC and Sokkia Total Station but I still can't download. What can I do?

In order to transfer your files, you will need to use a Sokkia USB Data Transfer Cable. Once you connect the device to your computer, you will be able to transfer the files through SOKKIA Link. If you can't, press Windows + R key combination, type devmgmt.msc and click OK. Expand the Universal Serial Bus controllers list, right-click on the drier and press Uninstall. Reboot your computer, connect the Sokkia Total Station 520 Series using the USB cable, press Scan for hardware changes icon from Device Manager and wait for Windows to retrieve the drivers. After that, uninstall and reinstall SOKKIA Link and transfer the files. If you still have problems, use the contact form from the official web page to get in touch with the support team.
