If the game is installed, Try using Revo Uninstaller. Even if it can't uninstall the application normally, it will force it to uninstall by wiping out all traces of its presence from the system.
Alternatively, install CCleaner to clear the registry of items that are obsolete and then proceed to install the game. I believe this is a registry problem that can easily be fixed.
