How to reduce the size of a PDF file?

In general, to reduce the PDF file size you just have to decrease the DPI value, but it's not working with PDFCreator.

Test scenario:
I open a web page with several pictures (e.g. Google Images), I press Ctrl + P, I select PDFCreator, and then I press Print. I select 100 DPI as resolution and then I click Save. The document title is Test_with_100_DPI.

Now I do the same with 600 DPI (File: Test_with_600_DPI). If I compare the size of the two files, it's more or less the same and I also can't see any differences in the quality. Why it is not working?

The software is not designed to reduce the size of the PDF files. It can be used to create PDF documents from other formats. In order to reduce the size of the documents, I recommend that you use a PDF Compressor from the database of Software Informer. You can try utilities like VeryPDF PDF Size Splitter, Reduce PDF Size, A-PDF Size Splitter, or Nice PDF Compressor. All these programs come with a user guide that will help you reduce the size of the PDF files.
