Artgal50.mmc is corrupted. How do I solve the error?

It might have the answer you need. In brief, it will have you delete (or hide) the corrupt file, allowing the program to recreate it.

In order to fix the issue, navigate to (C:) > Documents and Settings > User Name > Application Data > Microsoft > Media Catalog folder, right-click on Artgal50.mmc file and select Rename. Type Artgal50.old, press the Enter key and reboot your computer. If you still have issues, I suggest you contact Microsoft Support Team.
