Close any Internet Explorer window and go to Start > Control Panel > Network and Internet > Internet Options. Click the Reset button from Advanced tab and try to open the browser. If it doesn't work, type msconfig in the Search programs and files field and open the utility. Click the Selective Startup box, un-check the Load startup items, select the Services tab and check the Hide all Microsoft services. Click Disable All, OK and then Restart Now. After that, go again to System Configuration > Services tab, check the Hide all Microsoft services and click Enable. Restart your computer and you should be able to use Internet Explorer. If not, follow the instructions provided by Microsoft.
