Which version of the software should I install for my HP Deskjet 5740 printer?

I have the version 1.0 of the software. My update finder claims that I need to update the application to 3.0.1.3. On the download site there are both 1.0 and 3.0 versions. Which version should I install? My printer is HP Deskjet 5740.

It is always recommended to update the software to the latest version. You can acquire it from the official web page. Select your operating system, click Next and download and install the files. Also, you need to know that HP DeskJet is compatible only with Windows 2000 and Windows XP platforms. If you have other operating system, you need to download the new provided application.
