I just bought a security camera that connects with RCA. My Linux box (running Ubuntu) is using a small flatscreen TV connected via a standard monitor cable. My question is, if I have my security camera plugged into the RCA ports on my TV, can this program record what's on the TV (with a different input selected, meaning the computer is still hooked up to the TV with the monitor cable, but the TV will have the RCA input selected and viewing. Is this possible?

Yes, it's possible to capture the streaming but the problem is that you will have to run it in Windows because Linux is not supported. You will also need to have a proper cable to be able to connect the computer to the TV.
