Do I need to launch DirectX 10 before I use the application? What icon do I need to click on?

DirectX 10 is a part of Windows Vista and it's embedded into the system by default. There isn't a way to install it in a single mode. However, with the release of DirectX 10, you will have to manually install DirectX 9.0C June 2010 to have full functionality in applications. Access the _redist folder and install the DirectX from that folder.
