In order to fix the issue, download the latest package provided by Lenovo on your computer, press Windows + Pause/Break key combination and open Device Manager. Expand the Biometric Devices list, right-click on the driver and select Update Driver Software. Use the Browse option to navigate to the downloaded package, select the driver and install it following the on-screen instructions. After that, navigate to Start > Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Biometric Devices > Change Biometric Settings and select Biometrics On and Allow users to Log on to Windows options.
