Nikon Transfer allows you only to transfer the content from your camera to your computer. In order to cut a part of a movie, I recommend you use a video cutter/trimmer from the database of Software Informer. Many of these applications are free of charge and easy to install and use. Also, they come with a user guide that you can find in the Help menu or in the installation directory.
