My latest version of Firefox does not seem to play QuickTime videos. The support doesn't help me. What can I do?

I have firefox v3.5.3, too but my Quicktime version is 7.64.17.73, it seems you only have v7.62.14. First you should try to update quicktime. Then in firefox you should see in your Extras -> AddOns -> Plugins (at least in the german version ) that there is also Quick time v7.64.0

Then try this link: "http://movies.apple.com/media/us/games/theabbey/theabbey-h.ref.mov"

In my firefox are no problems with playing this file in a new tab...

In order to fix the problem, I suggest you download and install the latest version of QuickTime from the official web page. Also, make sure that you're running the latest version of Firefox. After that, use the QuickTime Support page from Mozilla website to find out how to configure and use the add-on. Basically, you need to press Ctrl + Shift + A key combination to open the Extensions list and to press the Enable button next to QuickTime plugin.
